Degrowth

The left has a new goal: degrowth! We should "buy less stuff," forgive debts, grow our own food, etc. They say this will "build a more just and sustainable society" and "save the planet" from "climate chaos." This idea is popular with capitalism-haters. One at a ChangeNow "eco conference" says, ...

Javier Milei

A Libertarian President!

Argentina actually elected a libertarian president. Javier Milei campaigned with a chainsaw, promising to cut the size of government. Argentina's leftists had so clogged the country's economic arteries with regulations that what once was one of the world's richest countries is now one of the ...

Charles Murray

The Most Dangerous Conservative

The New York Times put Charles Murray on the cover of its Sunday Magazine, calling him "The Most Dangerous Conservative." That was after he co-wrote the book, The Bell Curve, which argued that different ethnic groups have, on average, different IQs. As Murray puts it in my video this week, "Blacks ...

Flooded With Good Intentions

Sen. John Kennedy is upset because Sen. Rand Paul wants to limit federal flood insurance. But Paul is right. In my new video, Paul says, "(It) shouldn't be for rich people." That should be obvious. Actually, federal flood insurance shouldn't be for anyone. Government has no business offering it. ...

Are you a MAKER or a TAKER?

Politicians are often takers. They take our money (and freedom) in the name of achieving goals they rarely achieve. Elon Musk and Sen. Elizabeth Warren may be the best examples of maker and taker. They're the stars of my video this week. Warren shouts, "Tax the rich!" She especially wants to ...

Markets and Miracles

In this season of giving, I'll donate to the Doe Fund, a charity that helps drug abusers and ex-cons find purpose in life through work. Doe's approach doesn't include many handouts. It's mostly about encouraging people to work. "Work works!" they say. It does. Most Doe Fund workers don't go ...

A dike in Dutch National Park De Biesbosch

Not-So-Scary Truth About Climate Change

United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry says it will take trillions of dollars to "solve" climate change. Then he says, "There is not enough money in any country in the world to actually solve this problem." Kerry has little understanding of money or how it's created. He's ...

How Private Is Private?

The Fourth Amendment secures our right to be secure against unreasonable searches, right? Not anymore, explains Naomi Brockwell on her popular YouTube channel. In my new video, she explains how tech companies spy on us and then sell our information to the government. But some of us actually find ...

Canceling Cancel Culture

"I was not genuine in my own beliefs," says 23-year-old Rikki Schlott in my new video. "I self-censored." Why? What did this college student believe that was so unacceptable that she felt she had to hide it? The fact that she's a right-leaning libertarian. "I was afraid to have Thomas Sowell and ...

The Food Insecurity Lie

President Joe Biden says 24 million Americans "suffer from food insecurity!" News anchors were shocked that there is "food insecurity in the richest country in the world!" ABC hosts turned "insecurity" into "hunger." But in my new video, Rachel Sheffield, who researches welfare policy at the ...
